Dr. Gulab Walke brings over 17 years of experience in synthetic and medicinal chemistry across CRO, pharma, and academic research environments. He has led and executed research programs in complex carbohydrate synthesis, glyco-conjugates, nucleosides, peptides, small molecules, heterocyclic chemistry, and catalysis, supporting antibiotic discovery, anticoagulant drug development, and antimicrobial and anticancer initiatives. He earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from IISER Pune and completed postdoctoral research at premier institutions in India (IISER Pune) and the UK (University of Bristol). He currently serves as Senior Research Scientist at Synsmart.in, driving discovery-focused chemistry research programs, and has collaborated with global partners including Pfizer, NIH, EPSRC-funded projects, and biotech organizations throughout his research journey.
