Balaji is a seasoned Synthetic Organic and Medicinal Chemist with over 21 years of industry experience across CRO, CDMO, and integrated drug discovery environments. He holds a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Pune University and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic & Medicinal Chemistry from Mumbai University.

Balaji has contributed extensively from early discovery through pre-clinical development across multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, immuno-oncology, metabolic disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and CNS disorders. He has worked with leading organizations such as Integral Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., Sai Life Sciences, and Deepak Nitrite Limited (CDMO).

Balaji has authored six peer-reviewed publications and is a co-inventor on more than 18 U.S. patents, reflecting his significant scientific and innovative contributions to drug discovery and development.
